I Deserve An Answer

The sad, sad truth about farting on spiders.

PS: I may be going out with the guys tonight to see Little Miss Sunshine. Sure hope that works out.

Makin' Whoopee!

Hodehodehodeho, Hedehedehedehe!

Well hey everyone. Today my school flooded, I felt hostility toward my teachers, Jim proved that he's the happiest guy in the world, and my grandma went and bought me a damned iPod. Conclusion: I am beginning to feel like an ingrateful bastard.

More Re-draws

Many of these goofy animal characters showing up in my sketchbook are re-drawn from doodles I did when I was six or seven years old. Upon coming across the originals I found myself taken back by how colourful and varied these childhood creations were. Each one is unique, they even have individual names and personalities! I found it very inspiring, to tell the truth.

Since I'm having so much fun with these re-draws, I decided to take the concept and use it for a Gingerbox Art Jam. I hope the Gingerkids participate. I'd love to see their kiddie art.

Ducky Luv

More and more I realize that I am attracted to all things traditionally repulsive. Zac and I were discussing cartoons today and I brought up Max Fleischer, having been watching his stuff obsessively lately. To my surprise, Zac told me that he can't stand to watch those old surreal 'toons -- apparently, animation from the 1930s and '40s gives him an ill feeling in the deep of his stomach that he can't look past. I had never considered until then that all that I love about those cartoons must have a bad effect on some people.

Zac's also discovered that hecan't handle R. Crumb. That worries me because it means he may not be able to stomach my stuff either. After all, fascinations/perversions fuel me just as well. And I am planning on incorporating more Fleischer-esque elements into my work soon. Sorry Zac and anybody else with a low tolerance for bizarre 'tooning.

Snaks on a Plan

Seeing Snakes on a Plane was a magiqueal experience, by the way. It brought my friends together in some sort of cosmic, hands-across-the border kind of, symbolic...just forget it. 'Twas simply amazing.

Aw Ay Ee Oh Ooh

Does anybody know how in the world I can have smooth thumbnails instead of these big ol' crunchy images? I'm hoping that isn't some special feature of a paid account or something. Anyhow...

Grand Spread

With the new school year I've begun a new sketchbook, and sophomore year's started off great. I'm in a two-hour Spanish block class where I have a bit o' time to draw when I'm not struggling to roll my Rs. I won't be back with Marsha Johnson until next semester, but at least I do have 3D art again. Also, I have a class with Jim and lunch with Zac -- those goofy bastards definitely help me get through the day. Jim is especially a ray of sunshine.

PS: "WHY YOU DRAWIN' US NAKED?"
